In March 2024 she will be dismantled and taken by road to St Stephan, where she will be displayed in a new museum there. Her reconditioned engine will go to HHA in England, and an engine from the static display at St Stephan will be installed in its place.

This incident led to radical changes in the handling of armed aircraft at Gütersloh. XG127 sustained Cat4 (repairable) damage
